Our business started in 98 in embroidery. During that time used 95, 98, XP on saving .dst and .psf files. In mid 2000’s backup to Lacie 1TB mirror. That unit has failed this past week. Local PC repair Or Lacie cannot correct. Would to move the approximate 12,000 .dst and .psf to goggle drive. The files are opened by a dongle key in parallel ports (old machines) . Spoke with google support, they also had no remedy.  The .dst and .psf files are on 3 different computers. The initial machine runs WIN 95 using a (1) dongle in its  parallel port. The second runs WIN 98 also using that dongle in its parallel port. And the newest machine run XP with the dongle likewise in parallel port. The XP and WIN have the majority of files. WIN 95 was used when we started.  The propriety software for embroidery will not work with any newer version of windows save XP. We have approximately 12,000 files custom digitized files in the .psf (outline file) and embroidery file (.dst) plus another 10 k or more of altered stock designs.

no one to this point has came up with any solution including help forums.  Thanks for the consideration. Tom

I guess the first step would be to replace the Lacie and get everything backing up locally again. It wouldn't hurt to have another backup of everything stored away from the building in case of a disaster, (fire, flood, etc.).

You really need to find a better, more long term solution though. Start talking to local trustworthy companies that could help you find something more up to date. (What do some of your competitors use?)
