Hello,

 

I'm attempting to apply Google's Backup & Sync to backup and retrieve files from my WD backup drive; while remaining in the 15gb limit of files. 

 

For such a basic objective, the Backup & Sync APP appears very confusing to use.  Using the Backup & Sync APP is a lengthy process - a process that continues to operate in the background.

 

What are basic how-to-steps to backup, and retrieve files from the WD backup drive?

Most of my backed-up files are documents, and bookmarks. I also have a few dozen image files. What is the estimated time it takes to backup, and retrieve files to/from Google Backup & Sync?

The estimated time would depend on the number and sizes of files, the speed of the connection to the backup drive as well as the speed of the computer.

I'm still confused by the 'Google Backup & Sync' functions. I'm only interested in recovering text files, and bookmarks from my WD Backup.

 

Why the confusing, lengthy processes to set-up 'Google Backup & Sync?'
