I loosed and clean up my laptop from dust. On powering it on after coupling,the fan start and stop working immediately, the system wasn't displaying, the caplock light was just blinking and it refuse to boot up. Model: hp pavilion dv4. Help me out please

It shows the led light, fan starts 3secs and stop, the screen does not display at all, it doesn't shutdown but the caplock light continues to blink

The Capslock LED is used to give diagnostic information, how many blinks is it doing at a time, it could for example blink five times and then have a brief pause and then blink five times, there is no continuous blink code for the Capslock.

4 blinks = graphics controller problem which would explain the blank screen, being that your graphics are supported by the RAM it is worth doing a hard reset with the RAM removed from the MB, to do this, disconnect the AC adaptor, remove the battery, press the power on button for 20 seconds, remove the RAM and again press the power on button for 20 seconds, replace the RAM, connect only the AC adaptor, power up the notebook and see what happens.

Tnx bro I did exactly what you instructed but it is still blinking, not resolved yet

Not good news as it suggests that the graphics chip has failed, replacing the chip is not a financially viable option as a replacement used motherboard would cost you less.

 

Please see HP info here which includes the diagnostic LED blinks for HP notebooks.

 

The following only any help if your motherboard has an onboard speaker that normally beeps once the computer has passed the power on self test (POST).

 

Remove the RAM from the computer, attach the power cord then press the power on button, on a computer that has an onboard BIOS speaker, if you get error beeps it means that the RAM is good and that the problem is elsewhere, the graphics chip tested after the RAM would then be the most likely failed component.

I have two RAM, after testing it one after the other i discover one of the RAM is bad. The system boot up with one of the RAM. I really appreciate your concern, thank you for helping me out, you ve really added to my knowledge

Apart from the bad stick of RAM that is good news 

 

As I mentioned in my reply #6 your graphics are supported by the RAM so the bad stick must have been tripping the system up, swapping the RAM around was a good call on your behalf
