I have used this app for many years with a W10 desktop and it worked fine.

Just today I noticed this in the intro stuff there, "Please note TFC is not suitable for use on Windows 8.1 or 10"

Is that true? Is that something new? Can I continue to use it?

Thanks.  ...batpark

Hi Batpark,

TFC is no longer updated and it was created before those newer Operating Systems, the recommendation is there because there are some reports of problems with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 after running TFC if I remember correctly and possibly more...

dmmcoy: I immediately registered for the new TFC, got my authenticity code, down-loaded the app, inserted my code, now see my name on the opening screen. And then I hit a wall.

On the screen with the several icons on the top left and the Execute and Analyze buttons on the bottom right .....

 - What does the "Select which drive will be cleaned" mean? The screen shows "OS"; is that a "drive?"

- What does the bomb icon mean and what options do I have?

-Same for the Execute and Analyze buttons. When/how do I use them?

The old version was so intuitive! But I am lost with this version. Is there a Help screen that I missed?

I'd greatly appreciate some guidance. ... batpar

This is not Oldtimer's TFC, but a commercial product from what I can see.

I use BleachBit - free and excellent
