Hello everyone,

Just recently I updated Windows 10 via Windows Update the April/May "little/big" update.

Since the update I am getting a blue screen on initial boot up from power off that gives me a Windows Stop Code, gets to 100% then turns the PC off again, if I boot again the computer loads.

If I am on my PC, and restart the PC will boot up, its only if I shut down entirely then turn back on it continues to do this boot up error.

I tried removing the update/formatting to factory settings and something I read online in relation to turning off speed boot but none of these things have worked.

Any help much appreciated and thanks in advance :)

Jonathan

Will it boot properly in safe mode? Also try clean boot option as shown below. How did you try to revert or remove the update and what happened? Do you have a backup or need any files on the system?

See the follow8ng link as well for best steps for preparation to the new update.

Hi, yes it will, it's strange even if I do something such as entering BIOS on start up it will load properly.

I removed the update by uninstalling but the issue was still happening (this was the advise given by Windows update).

I don't have a back up, however I am currently on a clean install.

Can I try do the clean boot even after the upgrade?

My PC is a PC Specialst build with a Samsung SSD purely for Windows im wondering if the SSD is the problem? I have read a few things online saying certain SSD's struggle with it?

Thanks for your help :)

Please perform the following to make it easier.

Right click on diag.txt From link below
https://forums.techg...iag-txt.264226/
Select Save link as from the menu
Save to your desktop
Rename the file to diag.bat
Double click on the file to Run
Once it is finished it will create a SystemDiagnostics folder on your desktop
Compress the folder to a .zip file
Upload to your reply

How to Compress/Uncompress .Zip files

The SystemDiagnostic Folder should contain the following files after running.

1. Antivirus.txt
2. ApplicationEventlog.txt
3. Dxdiag.txt
4. Msinfo32.nvo
5. Software.txt
6. SystemEventlog.txt

Hi, I am struggling here, when I save the file its just making a text document, I dont seem to be able to run the .bat file, is there a specific programme I need to run this on windows 10?

Cheers,

The file has to be renamed to diag.bat in order to run. To make it easier. Download the new enclosed diag.zip file, uncompress and then double click on the diag.bat file to run.

I am not sure what the issue is but it errors out when I try to download this file. Please upload again and I will see it it works or if you can share over file sharing that might be better such as google drive, Dropbox, ect.

Okay that worked but for some reason the minidumps did not get added to the folder. It looks like a driver issue. Please perform following and upload the file.

Minidump files:
Click on Start menu
Type in command
Right click on Command Prompt in list and select Run as Administrator
Copy and Paste the following command into the command console
This will create a new Minidumps folder on your Desktop and copy any of your minidump files into it.
Compress the Minidump folder to .zip file and upload to your reply

MD "%userprofile%\desktop\Minidumps"&
If Exist "%SystemRoot%\minidump\*.dmp" copy %SystemRoot%\minidump\*.dmp "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\Minidumps"

Lets get a good list of your drivers as well.

List all Drivers

http://www.nirsoft.n...driverview.html

  1. Download the correct version for your computer (32 or 64 bit)
  2. Extract and Run the file
  3. Select View Menu and Check
    1. Mark Non-Microsoft Drivers
    2. Hide Microsoft Drivers
    3. Add Header Line To CVS/Tab-Delimited File
  4. Select Edit menu and choose Select All or use (Ctrl + A)
  5. Select File menu and choose Save Selected Items
  6. Save as Drivers or other known name
  7. Save As Type Comma-delimited text file (.csv)
  8. Compress the Drivers.csv file to a compressed Zip file
  9. Upload the file to your next reply

Please follow the steps below to start. Let me know if you have any questions.

Step 1:
Speccy
Download Speccy to your desktop

1. File > Save Snapshot. This will create a file called [hostname].speccy
2. File > Publish Snapshot. This saves your snapshot to their servers
3 Copy and Paste the link to your next Reply

Step 2:
Click on Start menu
Type command to start searching
Right click on command prompt in list and select Run Administrator
Copy and Paste each the commands below into the command prompt and press Enter key

1. sfc /scannow (best to run 2-3 times, rebooting after each time)

2. (Windows 8 or higher)
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

If any Errors are found with sfc /scannow then:
Copy and Paste the following command, and press ENTER:
findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"
This will copy sfcdetails.txt to your desktop
Upload sfcdetails.txt file

Step 3:

Create a Restore Point!

Go to Intel Driver support

Run the Auto Detect Driver Tool to check for any Driver updates

Go to AMD Drivers

Run the Auto Detect Driver tool to check for Display driver and other updates
