Hello, everyone

Please help me because my laptop can't connect to my home wifi.
I didn't do anything to my laptop, all of sudden the usually normal wifi networks became limited access and both ip4 and ip6 says its not connected.
I've tried installing new driver from lenovo official site (with my phone) but still doesn't work. It has been like this for 2 days!

Other devices are connecting fine to the networks, and I have tried tethering from my phone but no luck.

What do I do? My laptop is Lenovo b40-80, and I'm using ESET as my antivirus.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much 😀

Hello skhai23,

Have you checked for a system restore point that is before the time and date that the issue first became apparent.

Excuse the title of the guide but see info here

Thank you for the reply.

I tried the system restore but it gave me an error message. It goes like this:

"System Restore failed while mounting the registry from the restore point. An unspecified error occured during System Restore. (0x800705aa)"

What should I do?

Did you only have the one system restore point to try, if no, try any others that you may have, if yes, Windows may be corrupted and need repairing.

Two things to try:

Booting into Safe Mode with Networking.

Temporarily disabling ESET, AV protection can sometimes block internet connection, the fact that you get limited access (to your router) may suggest that this is software as opposed to a hardware issue as your wireless device appears to be working.
