Not so much time ago I created several .zip files

It was my backup copy just in case. Time passed and today I've decided to extract some valuable info from it, of course, the sources of the content in archives were deleted some weeks ago. One of the archives wasn't opened. I saw unpleasant message: "The file or directory is corrupt and non-readable". Another archive opened correctly. I understood that I had to make repairing zip data. But built-in feature didn't solve my trouble with error.

Follow the below steps to repair your file manually:

Method 1: Using inbuilt WinRAR tool, this tool can repair ZIP and RAR files effectively.

Step 1: Start WinRAR application then, go to file menu and click open.

Step 2: Select the corrupted ZIP file in the Find Archive window.

Step 3: Now, click Open and then press Alt + R button together to start the repairing process.

Step 4:  Here, a message display ‘Repairing file_name.zip’.

Step 5: Once the repairing process completed, choose Browse and save the repaired files

Method 2:

Step 1: Click on Start menu and type Run to open the run box.

Or,

Press Windows + R buttons together.

Step 2: Once the Run dialog box opens, enter regsvr32 %windir%\system32\zipfldr.dll and press OK button.

Step 3: Above step will enable built-in ZIP support from your computer and then, restart your system and check the file. 

Method 3:

Step 1: Click on the corrupted ZIP file.

Step 2: Select Properties, on the Home tab and Open it.

Step 3: Set Open with File Explorer, on the General tab and at bottom unblock the Security option. Now, click on OK.

Step 4: Go to Extract in the View tab on the selected file and click Extract All.
