Since you don't like Linux is there any point to keeping its partition?  I would get rid of all of the partitions.

So with this fresh install of the same Windows, I can "delete" all 7 partitions, and it will reinstall any and all it needs again? And yes, if I need Linux again, I will get it on a bootable flashdrive for emergency incase something like this ever happens again. And I'll have to get some blank DVD's to make that backup.

Alright, it just finished after I deleted them all. It did its thing, and it booted back to my flashdrive, which I almost mistook as a bad sign. haha I forgot I just have to switch the boot order back. Lemme get in the BIOS real quick here...

Well I am well on the road to a full recovery. I can't thank you enough for helping me see the light that was apparently common sense, which notoriously eludes me. The nostalgia, the memories from so many years ago. It is like a trip back 5 years ago when I first got this thing going. I still remember the first few days I tried to get this set up and connected to internet, before Hotspot and Tethering was a norm. Again, thank you so much. I'm so relieved just to be able to be on it again.

Glad you got it working.  Expect it will need a ton of updates.  Also you may need some drivers.

 

Search for

device manager

hit Enter.

 

View, Show Hidden Devices.

 

Do you see any yellow flagged devices?

 

Right click on one and select properties then click on the Details tab.  Change Property to Hardware IDs.  Click on the top one then right click and copy.  Paste that into a reply.  Repeat for all yellow flagged devices.
