When I first boot up, there are only a little over a thousand I/O reads for MsMpEng.exe as shown in the Task Manager. However, after using the system for a while, it shows millions (see attached screen shots) even with the browser (Firefox 61.0.2) closed. Is this normal? I am using a Windows 7 - 64 bit OS with a 1.86 GHz CPU and 3 GB RAM.

That is Windows Defender and it probably was performing a scan. If you continue to have issues let us know.

When I don't go to the site gamers2play.com, there aren't as may I/O reads for some reason.
