PC: windows 10 64-bit i7-5390k 3.5Ghz 16GB RAM. 2GB GEFORCE GTX 750 Ti
TV: Samsung 40 F6500.
The DXdiag.txt file on the PC says Miracast is supported (it says Miracast : available, with HDCP
The TV is hard wired to the modem and the PC is too via a Power over Ethernet netgear plug.
I failed trying to screen mirror so purchased a windows wireless display adaptor which I have plugged into my TV.
For some reason though the PC can't see the TV. It once found the TV using the older method but I was hoping the wireless adaptor in the TV would be more effective. Despite the txt file saying it supports Miracast. In the connect menu on Windows it says "Your PC or mobile device doesn't support Miracast so can't Project wireslessly."
What am I doing wrong? Does the PC need a wireless adaptor too?
Many thanks for any help.
