Can someone please explain to me (in laymans terms) what a \”bifurcated virus and malware scan\” means? Norton Security agents are telling me their on demand scan engine does a \”bifurcated scan\” and this is the reason the total files scanned count returns a number greater than 1 when I only scan one file. The number of files scanned that is returned can range from 1 to 15. Unless I am not understanding what is meant by \”total files scanned\” I assumed it meant the number of files I requested to be scanned on an on demand scan. Does it mean something different? Thanks. Please also reply to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thanks
