Hi, i recently provided a colleague with some work information on a usb memory stick. when i received it back, it had a new folder called "pictures", which i clicked on. i think it installed some sort of malware on my PC because i noticed afterwards that on my portable hard drive all the folders became shortcuts. There were also additional files which i could not account for. i tried various traditional methods to clean the PC. The more i tried the more difficult it became. I used all sorts of antivirus and made a few recovery discs but none have worked. it seems my PC and portable drives are still infected.
