Hi all,I have lost sound on my pc, when i do a dxdiag it tells me my sound is "modem #3 line playback (emulated)"and when i checked a previous dx it used to be "avance ac97 audio".

How do I get the original back? Have tried system restore and that did not work?

Thx for your help

Hi Keith,

I tried the new driver but its still the same,

when i go to add hardware i cant see avance ac97 on the list?

When i try and load teamspeak it says failed because"resourses, such as a priority level, were already in use by another caller"

And when i try and load a game it says fatal error "2 sound files are missing or in a bad format"

Hope this helps
