The files it found were correct but it didn't find the files associated with our EAP errors.  It's possible that the entries should have been removed at the last update but were overlooked.  We can remove them easily with a fixlist.  I'm going to also fix the Windows Update entry that appears wrong so check Windows Update after the reboot and see if it is working.

Please post the fixlog and then run  VEW again for system and Applications

You are using the wrong file for Windows Update.  Yours has a 2 in it that is not usually there and the file is no signed so we can't trust it.  I checked earlier and you have the correct file available so I tried to change the entry but I think I had an error in my fixlist.  Let's try it again:

Attached File  fixlist.txt   500bytes   2 downloads

This one will reboot.  When it does, rerun VEW for System

See if you can download and install:

https://downloadcent...-?product=75440

It's slightly newer than what you have which is causing a lot of errors.

Right click on (My) Computer and select Manage (Continue) Then click on the arrow in front of Event Viewer. Next Click on the arrow in front of Windows Logs Right click on System and Clear Log, Clear. Repeat for Application.

Then reboot and run VEW again for both system and Applications

installed no problem, but ugh so much intel proset all over now. hate intel. personally i like AMD better, but as i said before cant complain about free.... until tax time. so why is it causing a lot of problems? was it malware or a corrupted install?

vew sys log after install of proset and reboot. looking though the sys logs (bc i saved the log before clearing lol) my processor seems to get limited a lot.

Looks like that fixed the WLAN errors.

The limited errors like these:

Event: 37 Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Processor-Power

The speed of processor 2 in group 0 is being limited by system firmware.

are usually caused by a BIOS setting.  By default intel systems have some sort of quiet mode or power saving mode - might be called Speedstep turned on.  When the CPU is bored it slows down to save power and to run cooler.  You have to go into the BIOS and turn it off.

I see this in the uninstall list:

Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® (HKLM\...\{00000060-0200-4FD1-8F3D-148929CC1385}) (Version: 20.60.0 - Intel Corporation)

Try uninstalling it, reboot then download and install the bluetooth software.

this is a problem. uninstalled. tried to reinstall. keep getting the wizard has closed prematurely due to a error. and while uninstalling intel bluetooth software, the already exsisting windows bluetooth software got deleted! and has now been installed again... how ever its still not working correctly.

i got a feeling theres going to be some software issues or something. do you want me to start a new thread or are you ok with ging on here?

Run VEW for both Applications and System.  Let's see if it left us an error message.
