Hey everyone. I actually need a piece of advice about CPU upgrade.

My PC currently has AMD Ryzen 1700 (non X version) and MSI X370 Gaming Pro motherboard.

I am interested if it would be a benefit in rendering performance after upgrade to 2700X model with X470 motherboard. I am an interior designer and mostly my computer is performing CPU rendering.

Any suggestions?

Gday thowans, Welcome.

I will start this off and hopefully other will chip in with info/suggestions.

 

Just upgrading hardware may not be the best solutions, so please answer all the questions so we can better help you. 

 

What RAM is installed and is it compatible with a X470 MB?

How many storage devices?

What design software is used?

 

Workflow.   What are the steps taken in a typical project?
