Windows Defender won't start and popup Chrome windows

If you do a factory restore or a n install from a DVD that should get rid of it especially if you delete the partition. If you just do a refresh where it saves your data probably not.

So  I should backup all data on the Windows installation disc, then format that disc and do a fresh install of Windows 10. (I do have a Windows 10 DVD) After that, what low cost or free Anti-virus would you recommend? (I know don't mess around with software from bittorrent sites.) :oops:

Yes. I use the free Avast plus the free version of .mbam
