If a main memory contains 8 frames and runs a process which has 12 pages (numbered 0 to 11) and 7 out of the 12 pages are loaded in the main memory, how can the process finish using Virtual Memory?

Windows does this automatically by using a paging file as substitute memory. Of course it doing so is slower than using real memory but, at least it doesn't simply crash with a "out of memory" error message.
