I found a better case that has the rad top mounted outside the back. I thought about that after reading that case info.

As for the cooler to cpu bracket... thats be on mobo site?

I thought I better do some rechecking.

This was Your original build > https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vP9JXP

This was the build i thought you settled on > https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yFbXBb

this is the build you decided on, (with changed cooler and case) > https://pcpartpicker...16/saved/4HTfHx

You downgraded the MB, (are you reading the correct MB Manual?)

You downgraded the CPU.

So the build you posted is OK, everything is compatible.

" may need help installing win7 onto a m.2. But i was reading the mobo info on the site and they give a free program for that. "

Please give a link to the info as it is something I don't know about.

Where is it going wrong?

An additional part I see as essential (for hearing POST beep codes.) and  always include in a build,  find similar, > https://store.cwc-group.com/casp.html

with building the win7 boot media the first thing is trying to find a program that will do it. ive went tho 5 programs so far and they were half locked or wouldnt apply changes bc of it being on trail.

then other thing i was running into was drivers/services/features... theres way more then i thought and i dont want to remove/disable something and poof i got a nice big pricey paperweight

thanks ill check that link out. i wouldnt of thought about the speaker. not use to having one i guess? but would b good to have if the hdd light doesnt flash the code

Have you downloaded the iso file?

Follow the steps in the tutorial, > https://www.lifewire...rom-usb-2626264You will then need to perform extensive windows updates.

or, more complicated, this guide, but I would use a larger USB stick, > https://www.raymond....7-install-disc/

An alternative is to look for a used DVD burner on ebay, much simpler all round.
