Hello geeks,

I recently bought a new machine - Dell with Win 10 Pro.

In the old machine, all data was stored on 4 external USB drives, which I will name here as N:, P:, T:, and U:.

P was (and still is) a backup to N: and U is a backup to T.

The s/w is GFI BackUp Freeware.

I configured Windows to “Never” put computer to sleep.

The P, T, and U drives are always visible. The N drive periodically disconnects/goes to sleep/whatever .

When I do not see it in the Explorer, I pull the power plug out (it’s an older 2T model) and then plug it back in.

It’s a minor, but still, irritation.

Any suggestion how to fix the problem is appreciated.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Boris
