I bought a Ugreen Ethernet adapter for my new Lenovo ideapad 330s.  It runs on Windows 10.

The adapter won't work.  AT&T says everything is plugged in right, Lenovo says it's the adapter(didn't seem to know much anyway), and that I should just return/exchange it.

Should I have gotten a specific kind of Ethernet cable to plug into my modem and use w/the adapter?

I tried to investigate my laptop and noticed some specific settings for Ethernet connection, but don't want to change anything.

Any advice would be appreciated.

:welcome:     tulip459,

Do you have a link to the particular Ugreen Ethernet adapter that you purchased, we need to check the specs.
