Just a suggestion, how about creating a new sub-forum INTRODUCTIONS, this is where new members introduce themselves, and TESTS, this is where you can preview your post like a test page, deleted regularly.

The button next to add reply named "preview post" does just that, it allows you to preview your post as it will appear

I agree with you usetobe however, there is a chance that the user might press the add reply button even though that was not the reply meant to be...
