so far I havent found any posts about this issue anywhere.
My PS3 Controller only works when plugged in. Ive tried resetting and re syncing and nothing has worked. I Tried it with the PS3 from the other room and the controller synced no problem using the same USB cable, I un plugged it and it stayed connected no problem. Took the controller from the 2nd PS3 back to the first console and it wont work unless its plugged in either. So obviously its a problem with the console, not the controller and not the USB cable.
Ive restarted, unplugged and updated and no difference.
The console is connected to wifi no problem. So is it a Bluetooth issue?
