Hello, This is rather complex to me and I will try to keep it simple. I want to install a smart energy meter on the switchboard of my batch which is a ten hour drive away. The meter has wifi built into it. The area is extremely remote with no phone of cellular service. However up a hill i can get a cellular signal and I have an Ericson w35 router there and internet and phone is sent down on 2.4ghz to another router in my batch. Now I do have internet there which of course is over the cellular network. Surprisingly its almost as fast as my home connection to the internet. What I would like is once a day to be sent the data from the smart meter to my computer at home. Be it Email or whatever. What is needed to be able to achieve this and is it simple enough. Many thanks.

Since I am not familiar at all with New Zealand power grid, rules and regulations, etc., I think it safer for everyone involved if I bow out.
Hopefully someone else that has some experience and is willing to help will be along soon.

Based on what I read in the document it doesn't look like you can set up something to get the data once a day. It looks to me like it is constant through the app on your phone.
Scroll down to where it starts with "install app" and follow the directions. Connection to the wifi network is automatic. The lights on the device tell you if its connected and so does the app.
Don't forget to set your thresholds if you are on 110vac.
Set up is all through the app.
That's all I can tell you because I am not familiar with it. Just what I read here. Good luck.
