I deleted all the files (hundreds of them) from my Recents folder believing that I am just clearing the folder (clearing a list of files) and then emptied the Trash.

Only then I realised that I had deleted the actual files.

How can I recover them?

Hey pomognetemi,

I am NOT a admin here, or Mac Linux.
I just put your question into Google. This is what I got. I recommend reading ALL of it before trying the steps.

You will be fine.

Do you have an icloud backup? If not, you can recover them via Timemachine.
