1st problem: Core i3 330M  - Too slow, but unfortunately this probably *cannot be upgraded.

2nd problem: 4 GB of RAM - If possible, upgrade to at least *8GB (which is the sweet spot)

3rd problem: Pokey old hard drive with mechanical platters spinning at a mere 5,400 RPM. You would be pleasantly surprised by merely replacing this with a *SSD.

*If you'll post the exact model number of your Toshiba laptop, we can give you some specific upgrade recommendations.(Check the bottom of the laptop for a sticker showing the complete model number).

Hello skandranon1971

Hello,

Here is the link for the Speccy summar.

http://speccy.pirifo...eD5OPgJVEIj5ous

The  computer takes about 10 minutes to become fully started up.

Noticed that you have also requested help on the malware removal forum/s here any assistance in this thread will stop as soon as a security expert replies to your thread on the malware removal forum/s, this so that there is no interference with the work being carried out by the security expert.

We have ways of safely improving the performance of your computer on this forum.

You have Avast AV installed when there really is no need when you are running Windows 10 and tbh Avast has all sorts of other things going on with it "Avast Cleanup - The ultimate PC tuneup, we have heard and dealt with such optimising tools before.

As a starting point, is Avast paid for or the free trial version.

Tip

Before starting any new thread/s requesting help for the same issue can you first of all conclude any earlier thread/s, this to avoid any confusion as to who`s and what guidance you are following which can sometimes lead to folk being left with an unusable computer
