Hello! I have an ASUS laptop with Windows 7 64x bit. This morning I tried to turn it on, but it just showed a black screen which said
File:\Windows\system32\drivers\MBAMSwissArmy.sys
Status:0xc0000098
Info:Windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or corrupt.

I've tried shutting it down and trying to boot it, but the same error. Taking out battery also didn't help. I don't have a Windows 7 installation disc or USB stick.
Any help would be appreciated. I really need to get it to work.

Have you tried starting in safe mode? It could be F8, F10, or F12 key.

Turn the computer back on and as soon as you turn it on start tapping the F8 key. Hopefully that will get you to safe mode. Then try the last known good configuration.

If F8 doesn't work try F10 and then F12.

It's F8 for me. I tried booting it in safe mode but it still showed me the same error. Same with last known good configuration for some reason.
