Hello, i have a laptop siragon nb3100 with win7 home premium, a week ago after a normal shutdown, booted and reported "0x000000f boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible", it is and brand computer and it had an original win 7 dvd, but after some years, it literally self destruct itself, the disc layer peeled off and it was properly stored, so no use; also it has a dvd drive, but it is misaligned and doesn´t read properly, and the F8 key is broken, so i am stuck with the repair windows screen, but no way to use, i would appreciatte any suggestions. trying to connect the HD via usb as an external unit reports "damaged or unreadable partition" thanks

Sounds like the hard drive has simply failed. They all will. They're mechanical, and as such they wear out. (Once worn beyond factory tolerances they can no longer read/write data reliably). It needs to be replaced.

If the old drive has data on it that you gotta have you can try Ontrack. (Note that it can get quite expensive though).
