I downloaded an image with the name img_3589.jpg. How can I rename it to be more descriptive, like "Florida in 2019"?  Thanks for your help. ... batpark

I'm not on Win 10 but usually you right click on the name to get the drop down menu and then choose "rename".

Thanks all.

I find that sometimes after I Right click the file name in File Explorer I DO get a screen with an option RENAME. But often I get a different screen, without that option. When that happens I choose the option SAVE and use it to rename the file to my liking.

Can yo please tell me why I don't always get the screen with the RENAME option?

1) The right-click didn't register?

2) You're in some other program's Window?

You can simply go to the Folder where the Picture is saved, If you have downloaded it from a browser so it would be 90% in you download folder. Just access the download list by clicking ctrl+J on the browser and then right click on the picture you downloaded and then go to containing folder.

The Picture will be already selected, just right click or change the name.
