Probably unless you have a rare 64 bit XP you would need the 3.40.25.3. Don't know if that will give you the newer encryptions tho. Would help to know exactly what you have:
Right click on My Computer and select Manage and then Device Manager Open Network Adapters Right click on your Wifi adapter and select properties then click on the Details tab. Change Property to Hardware IDs. Click on the top one then right click and copy. Paste that into a reply. Also report if you have 32 or 64 bit XP.
Most of the time we have to replace the WiFi adapter in order to get the newer encryptions. You can get a TP-Link TL-WN725N N150 USB wireless WiFi network Adapter for pc with SoftAP Mode - Nano Size, Compatible with Windows XP/7/8

Walmart also has similar for even less.
