Spyware DR. -- Thanks Doc, but that site covers <switching> from Basic to Advanced. My immediate problem is different (and graver).

 

 Yahoo just told me by email that my account is "out of date" and will be "cut off." Other than trying to sell me a  for- fee service --Yahoo did tell me how I switch to a more modern version.

 

Is their for-fee plan the ONLY option I have with Yahoo?

 

If I switch to another account, say with Gmail, how do I transfer all my old Yahoo mail to that new Gmail account?  

 

Is there a URL that outlines ALL the steps involved with switching email accounts?
