I have several software cd's that are service manuals for my vehicles. The CD's were fine while my HP DV7 was still being used but it went belly up. I bought a new Alienware laptop and of course it came without a optical drive. I bought an external drive and just don't want to carry it everywhere. I used ISOBuster to make an ISO file of one of the discs and and the software requires the cd in the drive to run. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to mount this ISO to make the software draw it's information from the ISO file instead of the physical disc. Is there any help or advice out there to be offered?

Your new machine most likely have Windows 10 installed, this OS can mount the ISO files like a virtual CD but if you installed the software from a different drive letter you probably need to reinstall the software if it doesn't ask you to provide the disk and allow selecting another drive.

Ok I'll try that. I'll unintall the software and reinstall if from the ISO file. Thanks!!! I'll let you know if it works!

Windows 10 can mount ISO files easily by default, you don't need any extra program to do it.
