I bought a Netgear 1750 only to find that I can't install it.  It requires an Android device or Ipod/Ipad.

Any out there that might be usable?

I don't have this particular model of router/WAP, however most routers do not require "installation" as such.

Just power it up, connect the ISP cable from your modem and follow on screen directions.

Using an Android or Apple device(s) is an "extra" so to speak and is by no means essential.

If you need a walkthrough on how to set up your 1750 then there is usually a quick guide in the box enclosing all the hardware or you could take a look here:

Thanks for the input.    Nothing in the box but a pamphlet telling me to use my android device or smartphone and download the app.  I noticed when I returned the Nighthawk all the NetGear routers are now set up that way.   I returned the router and want to do more research before buying another.  I did notice a large of amount of negative reviews on that model and the lack of help from netgear.
