Hi,

Got Lenovo laptop Yoga 500. It initially just show up as black screen with light. When replacing the hard drive, it shows the boot options. However, if the options are selected (eg USB with Windows, or functional SSD with Windows OS), it just restarts and goes back to the boot options. Anyone got some suggestions?

I can still press F2 to get into BIOS

I don't think this is malware related as the SSD was replaced.

Image below the boot options, when selected, it restarts.

Guess like I've solved it

- Disable Secure Boot

- Change UEFI to legacy

- Reinstall

It was interesting that the SSD could affect the start up procedure
