Hi guys,

 

my son's lap top has been getting pop ups he can't get rid of. I've tried but they seem pretty persistent, and beyond my basic knowledge.

 

He's a bit vague about when this started but thinks it may have been from following a link on vipleague.

 

The ads seem to have a vipleague address on them, so that seems likely.

 

His computer still seems to work fine, but obviously the desktop area is pretty reduced with unremovable pop ups.

 

Any help appreciated.

Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST)

• Download FRST to your Desktop. (for 32 bit systems)
• Download FRST64 to your Desktop. (for 64 bit systems)
• Double click Frst.exe/Frst64.exe to launch it.
• FRST will start to run.
  • When the tool opens click Yes to the disclaimer.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • When finished scanning 2 logs will open on your Desktop, FRST.txt and Addition.txt
  • Please post them in your next reply.
