Hello everyone!

I've had my Acer Aspire One 10 for 3 years now and recently it has started responding to key presses which I'm not making. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've uploaded a video to YouTube called "acer aspire one 10 responding to key presses im not making" if that helps visualise what it's doing.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Regulator :)

"Automatic key pressing on Laptop", go ahead an Google that when time permits.
Hopefully nothing was spilled on the laptop. That model certainly has a bit of history with keyboard issues;
Inspect each key to make sure one is not stuck down, make sure the keyboard is clean you may even flip it up side down and gently tap it to dislodge any thing that could be stuck. I suspect its a possible cable problem, difficult to fix very small etc.

That's all can think of for now.

Thanks

Hi Zep,

Thanks for your response.
The crazy thing about this problem is that it has also happened with the keyboard detached. I've tried cleaning the screen and keyboard before but, will try again (nothing has spilled on it). I'll try Googling the issue again and report back.

Could it be a short circuit, that might be hard to track down...
