I have long used Open Office Write 4.1 on my W10 desktop for tables and correspondence but I recently ran into some problems that I may not be able to untangle; and thus am thinking of converting to Docs. I'd appreciate some basic info.

1. Am I correct that DOCS works pretty much like OOWRITE and MS Write?

2. Does Google charge for DOCS? How much?

3. I will be able to edit my OOW-created files using DOCS, right?

4.Are there other issues I should be looking at?

Thanks.   ....batpark

There are plenty more reasons to love Google Docs, but these 10 should whet your appetite. With so many ways to customize the application, you can opt for something slim and spartan, or go big with a mighty word processing powerhouse. Plus you’ll know that all your documents will be accessible no matter where you are, what computer you’re using, or what condition the Wi-Fi is in.

Google Docs is a free Web-based application in which documents and spreadsheets can be created, edited and stored online. Files can be accessed from any computer with an Internet connection and a full-featured Web browser. ... Google Docs is compatible with most presentation software and word processor applications.

Trying to learn Google Docs on my own, I have a bunch of questions, such as:

  1. Is there a difference between Google Docs and G Suite? I understood Google Docs is free but I see words that suggest that G Suite comes with a price “after a 14 day ree trial.”ts G Suite.”

  2. Where can I see a screen that describes how to name and save Docs that I create?

  3. Where can I get a screen that explains how I access files that I created with OpenOffice Write but now want to edit using Google Docs.

  4. Is there a Help site for Google Doc that I should be using, rather than leaning on GtoGers?
