Uncle Mike passed a year ago.  On this past Labor Day, his nephew received a voicemail on his iPhone from Uncle Mike.  It said, "Happy birthday, I'll see you tomorrow."  It is definitely Uncle Mike's voice.  This is a NEW VOICEMAIL, nephew never received one like this before, iPhone is new but number is 2 years old.  Can someone help to explain this?  Is it possible for a voicemail to get "lost" somehow and delivered a year or two later?  His nephew is flabbergasted by this and so are the rest of us.  TY!

I don't think Mike knew enough about computers to use that.  I just discovered you could do that yesterday.  I've been thinking about this and I've come up with this:  I discovered during research yesterday that it is possible to recover DELETED voicemail on an iPhone.  The kid got a new iPhone a couple of months before he got this voicemail.  I'm pretty sure they transferred all data from the old phone to the new one.  That would include deleted data, how could it not?  So: is it possible the transfer upset whatever mechanisms are involved in deleted voicemail and allowed that voicemail to be sent again on September 2?  The boy does not remember ever having received a voicemail like that but he's just a kid and there would be no reason for him to remember it.  is this possible?  TY again.
