Speed 6.6Mbps. Regarding VPN. My Astrill VPN is long since unrenewed. I occasionally use Tor on Brave or Opera's VPN, but rarely. For most daily use, I don't bother.

Can't tell.  You need to sort things by Hard Pagefaults

Morning to you. So, it seems I don't know how to do that properly. Could you please elaborate on the specific procedure needed to make it display by Hard Pagefaults the way you want it thank you for your patience. There are some noticeable impairments to my machine's functioning. I don't know if the cause was that Qualcomm change or something else. Now in the morning after shutting it down the night before, rather than it automatically showing the list of wifi possibilities when I fire it up again, it says none available. This in turn necessitates me restarting afresh, then it appears. It was never like this before. So an extra, second start is now required for my wifi to work. Could it please be reversed because it was better before. Now (qualcomm thing connected?) page loading is a major issue too. Even the desktop icons pop individually rather than all at once and if I load a newspaper or  youtube, there are empty boxes. Perhaps you know what might be causing this impairment I can only guess since I don't understand tech at all but I think it was after that qualcomm thing that this all went south. Can it be roll-backed or checked for right fit...or something, please? Thank you very much for all your assistance and patience. It must be hard having to deal with dummies like me. Run Latency Monitor for 20 seconds and then stop it.  Move to the Processes page then click once or maybe twice on the column header that says Hard Pagefaults.  That should bring all of the processes that have page faults to the top.  Also need:

Open an Elevated Command Prompt:
Win 7: Start, All Programs, Accessories then right click on Command Prompt and Run as Administrator

Right click and Paste (or Edit then Paste) and the copied lines should appear.
Hit Enter if notepad does not open.  Copy and paste the text from notepad into a reply.

 

 

Since you now have Open Shell:  right click on This PC and select Manage.  Wait until the new page comes up.  Click on Device Manager.  Click on the arrow in front of Network Adapters.  Find your Wireless adapter.  Right click on it.

Select Properties.  It should say the Driver is working properly.  Click on Driver  If the Rollback Driver button is lit you can revert to the older driver if not go back to right click on the Wireless Driver and Uninstall.  Do not let it remove drivers.  Reboot.  Windows will reinstall the driver and perhaps do it right this time.

Oh dear. So, when I was reverting to previous driver, it was a clickable option and I did click it and perhaps it reverted within the blink of an eye, but otherwise not: what I mean is there was nothing to know whether it had in fact reverted (the driver name may have changed, I wasn't thinking to pay attention to that). Right click on This PC and select Manage then the arrow in front of Task Scheduler then the arrow in front of Task Scheduler Library then the arrow in front of Microsoft then  the arrow in front of Windows then select Application Experience. 

 

 

Right click on each task you see (circled in red above) and Disable.

 

Then reboot and run latency Monitor again.

Does it still say your system has a problem?  If so let's see the Process page with Hard Pagefaults and the junk file again.

 

For the Qualcomm you can look at the Driver tab.  It will have the driver date. 

 

 

VEW says you have a problem with the Intel Chipset so I would try installing a new version.  You can't really depend on the intel software to tell you if you need an update.

This is a zip so save and then right click and Extract All, Extract then right click on SetupChipset.exe and Run As Admin.  It won't install if you don't have the right chipset.

 

Qualcomm is claiming that the network adapter itself is defective.  Don't know if it really is or if the driver is not correct. It's possible that reverting the driver fixed it.  Let's clear the alarm and reboot then rerun VEW.  To clear the alarms right click on This PC and select Manage then click on the arrow in front of Event Viewer. Next Click on the arrow in front of Windows Logs Right click on System and Clear Log, Clear. Repeat for Application.
