Alright tweets, sounds like you're havin a little bit of unwanted fun, we'll help ya get to the bottom of this and you'll be back to normal soon enough. I'm gonna ask you to go to the Hijack This forum and download "Hijack This" and run it. Make sure when you download it you save to a permanent folder such as: C:\HJT or something like that. Run it, save a copy of the log, and copy and paste the entire log back here so it can be analyzed.

Ok, good job u did fine. First things first, you're going to have to get all windows updates, service pack 1 and updates, and service pack 2 if you would like. Without these patches for your system, you are left vulnerable, and we would both be wasting our time because you'd be infected again almost immediately. Let me know when you get that up to date, and post a new log. Thanx.

You can check this by clicking on control panel, performance and maintenance, system properties, and the tab that shows up by default, I think it is the general tab shows info about your system, it will tell your ram amount, os, etc. If you have sp1 it will say it under or next to windows xp.

ok, no sp1, and after going to windows updates, still havent dl'd the needed updates, here is what is happening,....everytime i try to download, the thing keeps freezing up, i am trying to dl by express or whatever, and it just sits there, and only dl's 33 percent of what needs to be dl'd and then just sits there for hours and does nothing...I am beginning to think that maybe the whole system needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled?? I hate to go to that extreme, because I am not that sure about doing that.......AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
<_< :D :D
Now what??? Thanks for all ya do!!!!! :P

What type of Internet Connection do you have? Dial up will take a long time do download. If you can get it to download service pack 1, you can order the service pack 2 disk for free through the mail. Much easier.

Definitely need to clean a buncha stuff outta here, I will work on this and get back to you today. After we're done cleaning this, I will help you with ways to keep anything like this from returning.

-=jonnyrotten=- :P

By the way, wonderful job on your updates. What a little patience can do sometimes....huh. <_<

Ok, first thing we need to do here is click on Spyware Tools link in my signature.

Let's start with a free program. Ad-aware.

Using Ad-aware: Open Ad-Aware and use the Check for updates now link. Download and accept the latest reference file. When finished click the Start button. When done scanning, the Abort button will change to Next. Click the Next button. Right-click in the Scanning Results window and click "Select all objects". Then click the "Next" button and confirm that you want to delete the selected entries.

Also I see you have Spybot S&D installed, great. Start this program, check for updates and then scan. Have it remove everything it finds.

When finished, Reboot your computer. Finally, reply to this post with a new HiJackThis log so we can look for any nasties that may have been missed. Make sure that everything is closed when you run Hijack This, it should be the only program running. :D
