I have used Ancestry.com (on Google Chrome) for a long time and I have used a specific link on that web site for years. Now this week, when I click on that link, I get an "error 440" message and the link won't work.  I tried using the same link on Firefox and it works perfectly.

I haven't changed anything (windows 10), so why is Google Chrome acting up like this? How can I fix it?

Hello alaskaborn,

You could try clearing browser data,

Open Chrome.
1. In the top right corner of the browser you will see three dots, which indicates a settings menu.
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Advanced.”
3. Click on the section “Clear browsing data.”

If that does not work might reset Chrome

To reset Chrome see link below
