They all look good.  I'm going to export the registry info from dnscache from my Win 7.  Will upload it in a separate post.

Download,Save then right click and Extract All, Extract then find dnscache.reg and right click and Merge.  Ignore the warning.

This should overwrite the current registry entry.  It looked OK in the fixlog but sometimes rewriting it helps.

Reboot and see if it helps.

OK.  Let's do another Process Monitor boot log with the two processes unchecked.  Also note the time that it finally boots all the way.

Did you notice the time when it finished loading?

No. What do you want me to manually time...

from clicking logon to user until hard drive and processor lights and sounds stop flickering?

or beyond that to the point where internet loads in my browser successfully?

After clicking to logon, 60 seconds to finish loading.

Then, after loading IE & FFox, both browsers took 2minutes 45 seconds to load a webpage.

But earlier today, it took 5-7minutes to load a page. It varies, especially since the internet delay happens multiples times during day, during a 12 hour session with no restarts.

OK.  Sounds like it's not going to be in the boot area but in the internet or browser.

Start, All Programs, Accessories then right click on Command Prompt and Run as Administrator.  Then type (with an Enter after the line).

ping  -t  8.8.8.8

You should get something like:

Pinging 8.8.8.8 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=43ms TTL=50
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=43ms TTL=50
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=52ms TTL=50
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=43ms TTL=50
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=43ms TTL=50
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=44ms TTL=50
Reply from 8.8.8.8: bytes=32 time=43ms TTL=50

...

This will continue until you close the window or hit Ctrl + c.  As long as you see no gaps where you don't get a reply the Internet is good.  Keep it running while you browse and then when you get a delay check to see it is still running.

You can try to speed up the loading of Firefox by running

Speedyfox:

http://www.crystalidea.com/speedyfox. This is a zip file so Save then right click and Extract All, Extract (to your desktop).   Close Chrome/Firefox/Skpe. Hit Optimize.   You can run it any time that Chrome/Firefox seems slow starting..

Another cause of a slow browser is too many or a bad extension.  It's best to keep extensions to a minimum.  I run only Ublock Origin, F B Purity and Avast Online Security (comes with Avast) and my browser starts and loads Google.com as its home page in under 10 seconds.  YOu can start Firefox in Safe Mode which disables all extensions.  Hold down the Shift key and click once or twice on your Firefox shortcut.  Then select Safe Mode when the window comes up.  Does it open faster?  Do new websites open faster?

Another reason for a slow start is a slow DNS.  You might try changing to a different one other than your router.  Cloudflare has the fastest DNS but it depends on how far away from you it is.  Wouldn't hurt to try it:

Following procedure tells how to set the DNS to Google's 8.8.8.8 - just substitute 1.1.1.1 for the first DNS and use 8.8.8.8 for the second.

Finally a superslow Internet connection can cause a browser to be slow.

Go to

http://www.speedtest.net/

and click on Begin Test

When the Test finishes select the URL at the top then Copy then move to a reply and Ctrl + v

Is that about what you paid for?

Which procedure?

Speedtest is as expected; 70mb/s DL. ping: 5ms.

Already optimised, speedfox'd and ruled out slow addons, and the internet delay persists on IE (which has no addons, pretty much stock settings) and on Firefox with addons disabled.

I will run the CMD Ping 8.8.8.8 test when i get delay. Right now as things are working, time = 4-5ms. TTL = 57.

How do I " set the DNS to Google's 8.8.8.8 - just substitute 1.1.1.1 for the first DNS and use 8.8.8.8 for the second."?

During Internet delay, there was no change when I ran the Ping 8.8.8.8 test in CMD.

In ipv4, I added 1.1.1.1 as preferred & 8.8.8.8 as secondary. I disabled the adaptor. When I re-enabled and experienced internet delay, even viewer error 7011 occurred 4 times in a row.
