Hi does anybody know a tool that searches and finds all the broken/corrupt/not working audio files/photos/videos on a hard drive?

I don't know of such a tool as that. A search of video repair tool might turn up something. I also thing a separate tool would be used for each file type, jpeg repair tool, video repair tool, audio repair tool, etc

Can't find anything simple or with a good enough gui.

I've noticed that despite checking and confirming a healthy hard drive, some of my images and videos have corrupted over time.

I read here that this happens over time,

Is this true?

If so, is there any way to prevent it other than doing periodic hard drive checks?

I found out I can check zipped archives with 7zip, by right clicking the file, hover through the 7zip section and click test archive.

But is there any way to prevent data corruption over time other than doing periodic hard drive checks?

If that's true all I could suggest is to a back up to other media or the cloud especially those files that are important to you.

I'll need to some research on data over time corruption and see what information I can find.
