Hi everyone,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I really need help:

I was trying to play an online game with my GF who is currently in Taiwan. However it is region locked so you need a VPN to play there. I installed Pingzapper and then Tunnelbear and couldn't get it to work so I gave up and uninstalled both. I also uninstalled NoPing app that I had installed some time ago that I no longer used. They all required me to restart my PC which I did, and suddenly I had no connection. I tried many things and to my surprise my router (NetGear) also lost connection after I tried resetting it. It was being recognized as a brand new router so I had to reconfigure that as well and all other PC's and wifi connections are working once again except for my PC.

I tried the following:

- Open cmd prompt and tried multiple suggested options like ipconfig flush, registerdns, checking ipv4/6.

- I tried installing new Ethernet drivers (MSI Gaming M5 Z170A). I'm not sure if I did it correctly, I tried a few times using the killer Ethernet app and also tried manual install.

I'm at a loss for what to do. I can try to backup and reset windows although have never done that.

Have you tried a restore point before all of this?

Thanks for the replys. I did try everything here already and nothing worked. I did a fresh reformat of windows 10 and it's working again instantly. I wish I could've known what the problem was though, I tried alot of suggestions on the net.

It was mostly a problem regarding your network adaptators. I had the same problem with a VPN not too long ago.
