I love my Windows 7. That's why I never upgraded. Is it absolutely necessary that upgrade to Windows 10?

What happens if I don't?

Hi and welcome to our forums

Win 7 will still continue to work, but updates (including security patches) will no longer be issued by Microsoft.

As a result the operating system will become increasingly vulnerable to infection, malicious code and exploits of one sort or another if it is exposed to data sources (Internet for example).

Developers will likely concentrate writing drivers and other software for Win 10. Win 7 will therefore become more unsupported as time goes by.

It's still possible with a lot of computers to upgrade to Win10 for free.

Most distributions of Linux are also free.

Post back if you need further information or advice on how to use Win 7 whilst reducing the risks inherent in using an unsupported operating system.

Regards

jeffkdanies,

Computer issues can be quite stressful for some folk so you should never post in another members thread looking for help for yourself, start your own thread and someone will get back to you there, thank you for your understanding.
