Hi,

I got a message that "sart up repair failed in windows 10"in Lenovo  laptop while booting. I tried the startup repair by using an bootable external drive, it didnt worked. I tried bootrec commands. bootrec /fixmbr gives output that element not found. I guess i can solve this problem by reinstalling the Windows . But, instead of reinstalling the OS, is there any other way to sort this problem. Some of my important files are got stucked inside the laptop. However i need to recover it. So pls helpme anyone to access my files.

While booting the laptop, now it is asking the drive to select. Black screen is showing when selecting any drives.

Is it not possible to put the hard drive with the important files into an external enclosure and drag the files off using another computer? Then you can reinstall Windows without the fear of losing your files.
