Greetings,

My computer is a Lenovo B40-30 All-In-One running Windows 10. The history of it, if you need it: I received it second-hand, it did not work for the owners business to run a phone recorder thru, he removed the recorder program and put it on a shelf for an unspecified time, he knew I was looking for a new computer and said if it worked i could have it. I brought it home, turned it on, it worked.

I run CCleaner and SUPERantispyware everytime I get off the internet. The computer ran great for a couple weeks then stopped. I began receiving the following error message: CCleaner is unable to clean 'Session' because application 'pre-launching' and 'tab preloading' are enabled in Windows.

I searched online for a solution. The solution was to modify the registry. (I hate modifying the registry.) It had me navigate to the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft. On arriving at "Microsoft", I was to click on the Microsoft folder, click "New", type "MicrosftEdge" and press "Enter".

My problem: when I press "enter", the new key(?) shows up under "Windows NT" with a little dotted line going to "MicrosoftEdge" as if the new key is a branch of "Windows NT". All the examples I have found show "MicrosoftEdge" as a new key under "Microsoft" and listed before "Windows NT".  Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

tjmcs

P.S. I have backed up the registry.

zep516,

The download in the link does download anymore. I found another download, used it, problem solved. Thanks.

Anybody else with this problem, much easier to download a solution than try to do it yourself.
