 I had a 'perfect storm' of Personal Life / Work Life / System Updates for Android AND Windows 10 / Job Stress / Corona Virus / Family Issues / Death of a beloved Pet

cause me to have a weak or inattentive moment/

One wrong click at the wrong time --- and I am out some money

I also think I was down right hacked... though I don't really have the skills to KNOW that for sure...

I found out slowly / painfully -- because the 1st thing was my bank account bleeding cash through Green Dot.

THAT only occurred in the last week or so.

THANKFULLY I do run RoboForm -- which saved me from being wiped out totally ....

and you know -- when I posted that fact on Facebook -- the little [bleep] couldn't resist taunting me -- a small message popped up right in the Browser Window WHILE  I was watching . He said " You are CORRECT" -- so I blocked him right then and there and changed my password .

I haven't even had the time to go and BURY  said beloved pet -- because of this nonsense.

I have been online for well over 20 years -- and this is the FIRST INCIDENT that went this far.

I run :

Windows 10 Pro ALL updates

Malware Bytes Premium

Avast Free

RoboForm Everywhere paid-- and I have since 2000 .

That program has saved my backside more times than I can count.

I am embarrassed and  FURIOUS  with myself for being suckered ....

I am off today ... I want to go and bury the beloved pet -- and intend to do so now.

It is likely the ONLY time I will have this week... and her body is becoming a 'problem' -- so to speak.

She has nowhere to go... obviously -- but I WORK TOO MUCH TO WAIT.

I WILL return within 2 hours TOPS.

UPDATE IN REFERENCE TO MY PHONE : I have installed Bitdefender moibile on my Galaxy S 10 +

It is working quite well -- and I may go for the PC version as well.

THAT will require more research of course.

Hi! My name is zep516 and Welcome to Geekstogo!
I'll do the best I can to resolve your computer issue
Please make sure to carefully read any instruction that I give you. If you're not sure, or if something unexpected happens, don't continue Stop and ask! Never be afraid to ask questions! :)

Take care of the pet first . DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES TO THE COMPUTER . Do not install anything.

I need to look the log files over and I'll get back to you in a few hours.

Thanks

Joe
