:welcome:   RobinCD,

If the computer is a desktop can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

  1. In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
  2. In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
  3. Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Chieftec 650W Photon Gold (GDP-650C-RGB)

Sorry to be so blunt but that is an awful brand of PSU, one of their claimed 650W PSUs blew up while being tested, see info here

While we look at the Speccy report, one thing I will suggest is that you change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced, High Performance is a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues and a weak PSU such as the one that you have will get hotter and weaker the more that you use it.

Edit to add:

Download MiniToolBox and save the file to the Desktop.

Close the browser and run the tool, check the following options;

List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
List Installed Programs
List Devices (Only Problems)
List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Click on Go.

Post the resulting log in your next reply for us.

The MTB flags up a couple of issues with one of them supporting something that I noticed in Speccy;

Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Computer type: Desktop
Installation Date: 13/03/2020 15:55:57
Windows Security Center

There are no Windows updates shown to have been installed and likewise there are none shown to have failed to install/

Can I ask where the Windows 10 media that is installed on this computer came from, same for the Windows 10 product key that was used to register Windows.

You need to get Windows fully up to date and for the following reasons

1: Until we can see a fully up to date OS as per the forum terms of use we cannot help you because we have no way of knowing if the software is legit or not.

2: An out of date OS puts you at risk of malware attack.

3: You are wasting your time troubleshooting an out of date OS as any one of the missing updates could be what is needed to correct the issue/s.

Be happy to continue with the thread but until we can see an up to date OS in an updated Speccy url we are unable to do so.

I have followed the rules as laid out in the GTG Terms of Use that we all agreed to abide by when applying to become a member here.

The posting of links or references to warez or any other type of illegal software is strictly forbidden. By doing so you risk having your user account terminated without warning. We will NOT help anyone we suspect of having obtained their software or services illegally.

Entirely your choice not to continue but not sure why you feel that being on a server you do not need any security, your server needs added protection not less, you have Windows Defender fully up to date so are obviously concerned about security vulnerabilities.

Only an Admin can delete your thread and only if there is a specific reason for doing so.

Thread closed as per the GTG Terms of Use illegal software policy explained above.
