Most XP WiFi is not compatible with current WiFi standards.  Hardly anyone uses the old WEP encryption that is all most XP WiFi could do.   You need a USB to Wifi adapter that can do WPA2 encryption.  You can get one for under $10 online at Walmart or Amazon.  Might be a bit more if you need dual band.
