intel driver installed: date 11 april 2020 version 26.20.100.8141

I also have : Nvidia Geforce 920M : date 09th april 2019 version 25.21.14.2531 . I opened GEforce exerience, it checks for new drivers, it says I have the newest 425.31 release date 04th nov 2019

interrupts: if I disbale the realtek  high definition audio driver, and the mousepad,  but  intel graphics 520 still enabled: arround 0%

enabling the mousepad: only if not using is arround 0, if using it, between 4-8 .

if i disable intel display audio , while realtek audio is disabled: 0

once i enable intel display , while realtak high audio is still disabled: 12

and if i disable the realtek again, the interrupts doesn't go down anymore to 0. arround 12 .

I need to disable them bots , intel audio and realtek, to get back 0 .

I did these test while high definition was disabled.

Mousepad  driver before update 21/06/2006 10.0.18362.175, this is under HID-compatable mousepad under Human-interface touchpad.

after trying updating both Synaptics and elantech ( I don't know which to take, so tried both, see image), only thing that changed or maybe was already the same:

ELAN I2C Filter Driver under Mouse and other ...devices,  it has date 05th june 2015 version 13.6.3.1.

Eacht time I updated mousepad I checked the interrupt if I use the mousepad: arround 5 %

if I disable Elan I2C  , mousepad still works with same interrupt value.

enable back the Elan driver and disabling the HID-compatable mousepad under Human-interface touchpad: tochpad doesnt work anymore., value interrupt arrond 0%.

I can't find another driver that is newer  for the HID-compatable mousepad on acer site.

ID-compatable mousepad under Human-interface touchpad:

HID\VEN_ELAN&DEV_0501&Col02

HID\ELAN0501&Col02

HID\*ELAN0501&Col02

HID\VID_04F3&UP:000D_U:0005

HID_DEVICE_UP:000D_U:0005

HID_DEVICE

Speccy says you have the Elan touchpad so see if the Elan driver on this page will work:

https://support.leno...nloads/ds502969

Download, Save, Right click and Run As Admin.

Also there is supposed to be an option in the BIOS which turns on or off advanced touchpad features.  With it off (basic) then it doesn't need a driver.

I installed the Elan driver, succesful finished but no change in device manager.

then I tried again from the folder that was intalled: setup. but same.

then I manualy tried to update through device manager: there are two inf:  ETD.inf and ETDHCF.inf

then I don't know if I have to update the ELAN I2c filter driver under mouse and ... . or the HID-compatable mousepad under Human-interface touchpad.

You can open the inf files in notepad and it should show the values like:

HID\VEN_ELAN&DEV_0501&Col02

HID\ELAN0501&Col02

HID\*ELAN0501&Col02

My guess would be that HID means Human Interface Device

I opened the inf files, the one with name ETDHCF is closer to the values .

Differenct is that not 0501...  but 060.. or 061.. is mentioned,  so all is the same except ..._0609... .

I did update the driver under Mouse and other ..devices, NOt sure what which inf I used but date is here now 23/05/2019 22.4.16.1.  en die ID description is still ... 0501... .

But the interrupt occurs on the other driver : HI-compatible tochpad  under HUman-Interface-devices.  This is not updated.

I really don't know what to do.

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier.  Daughter called with a computer problem and I worked on it unsuccessfully from 3 PM until about 11.

What date & version number does the HID one show?  Give me a screen shot from Driver Details (from the Driver tab of the HID one).

Sorry for the delay.  My daughter called about a work related Win 10 problem and I been beating my head against a wall trying to fix it without success.

Is your touchpad set to basic or advanced in the BIOS?

https://community.ac...device-managers

If you toggle it to the other position save and reboot does it work at all?

Also further down on the same page they have the guy update the Intel Serial IO driver.  See if you can do that.

Check with Process Explorer and see if the BIOS change to Basic had any effect on Interrupts.

This looks like a newer one:
